Key Drivers

Country Music & Radio. Country music is already massive popularity has only grown over the last decade, particularly on radio. According to a recent Nielsen report, country is the top-ranked radio format compared to the nation’s radio audience as a whole, and the second-ranked music format when limited to the top markets only.

Radio royalties don't tend to level off as quickly with a popular country song, compared to other genres. Songs that experience significant radio play can often build a foundation of streaming and other types of income as the radio royalties slow down. As the winning bidder, going forward you'll collect the incoming radio royalties and other income sources — like streaming — for the next 10 years.

New Releases & Tours. Dan + Shay recently released a new song “Tequila” in January 2018. While the new song is not included in this auction, the Gold-certified track can help boost the group’s back catalog. Dan + Shay are also actively during Summer 2018 and through the beginning of 2019. The release of new music and active tours reengages existing fans and also draws discovery among new fans.
